Pastor's 2 Day Prayer Retreat
This is primarily a pastor's retreat schedule since weekends are his busiest time it is
almost impossible to take a weekend for prayer. It is two full days to allow time for
prayer and planning. The added time on Tuesday morning provides for interaction and
sharing your experiences with other pastors, or you can use it for quiet sermon preparation.
We recommend a least 5 pastors for corporate times.
It does require that he have Sunday evening free or leave later for the prayer retreat.
We encourage serious intercessors to go on retreat two or three times per year.
You will find it refreshing. Finding adequate time to get away is always a
chore. Many jobs allow for personal days or vacation days which are ideal for
this. We suggest taking a personal day two or three times a year on Fridays to
give yourself the most amount of time to pray.

The pastor can leave for home or spend the night with the extra time for sermon
preparation and leave in the morning.
The days are arranged in 3-hour blocks for prayer. This is my personal style for an ordered and disciplined time of extended prayer.
There will be some who find it difficult or unrewarding to be so disciplined. Feel free to organize the day
according to your prayer rhythms.
